Are you coming on Holiday to the gorgeous area of Alcúdia, in Mallorca? The S’Albufera Natural Park, located in Alcudia in the north east of Mallorca, is one of the top must-dos on the island.
Declared a natural park in 1988 and only separated from the sea by a line of sand dunes, S’Albufera constitutes the largest wet area across all the Balearic Islands and encompasses both Muro and Sa Pobla. This area covers almost 1700 hectares inland and it was formed less than 100,000 years ago. We should point out that as well as being one of the key attractions in both Alcúdia and Mallorca, the S’Albufera Natural Park is also a very important area for the Ramsar Convention and it’s included in the EU Natura 2000 Network.
